1,102,830. Repeater gain control. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 29 June, 1966 [8 July, 1965], No. 29115/66. Heading H4R. The gain of an intermediate repeater in a transmission system is controlled by an indirectly heated thermistor HL whose heater RHZ is connected in parallel with a variable resistor R E in series with the remotely supplied constant current for the repeater I F Variation of resistor R E provides adjustment of the mean gain of the repeater in accordance with the section length whose attenuation is to be compensated, while the thermistor resistance R h provides compensation for attenuation changes due to ambient temperature variation. The thermistor resistance R h may be connected in a feedback path in the repeater amplifier. |
