In a mineral-mining installation guidance of the pulling and return runs of the endless haulage means of a winning machine is by guide pieces of narrow width secured to at spaced intervals along that side of a conveyer remote from the machine sliding along the conveyer. Each guide piece has an upper and lower substantially eyelet-shaped, chain-guiding opening of which the lower opening is provided with a gap for the passage of part of the winning machine which is attached to the lower run of the chain. Each guide is formed by a bracket 10 of F-shaped cross-section secured by a lug 26 secured to the side of the conveyer and a vertical plate 11 that can be clamped against the limbs 12, 13 of the bracket 10 by a wedge 22 inserted through an eye 23 which is secured to the limb 13 of the bracket 10 to project through an opening in the plate 11 when the plate 11 is positioned against the bracket. Also involved in the guide is an L-section beam 19 secured to the bottom of adjacent plates 11 to extend the full length of a section of conveyer trunking. |
