The method involves performing a random choice of a sequence of links forming a path at every stage of a relationship or from the links in an information unit i.e. web page. An importance of the web page is determined as a function of number of times the web page has been crossed and as a function of measurement of diversity of the path leading to the web page, where the measurement of diversity depends on the presence of one re-occurrence of the web page in the path, and the diversity measure is null if there is no re-occurrence of the web page in the path. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program including code for evaluating the importance of an information unit belonging to a set of information connected by a link collection units to form an oriented graph (2) a server. |
