<p>This invention reduces an increasing capacity of image data by using PQR (spectral auxiliary coefficients) in addition to CIELAB (fundamental stimulus values), compared to conventional CIELAB. To accomplish this, image data holding fundamental stimulus values and spectral auxiliary coefficients is input. Output colors corresponding the input fundamental stimulus values and spectral auxiliary coefficients are calculated. An image size corresponding to the spectral auxiliary coefficient is smaller than that corresponding to the fundamental stimulus.</p> |
