Method and device for aligning a vehicle surroundings sensor

The method involves detecting data for determining a road surface plane (10) and a wheel axis (14) of a vehicle (1) using a camera (12) and three-measuring points at the vehicle during vehicle driving. An adjustable-auxiliary attachment (16) is positioned in front of a vehicle-environment sensor (2) or headlights (4, 5) of the vehicle. The sensor or the headlights is aligned in the adjustable-auxiliary attachment based on the wheel axis and the road surface plane using the camera and the three-measuring points. The sensor or the headlight is aligned during existence of misalignment. An independent claim is also included for an aligning device for aligning an environment sensor or headlight in a vehicle.
