Cooling device for a steam turbine power plant

The device e.g. wet cooling tower (1), has a discharging device for discharging condensate or cooling water under gravitational force. A collecting unit collects the condensate and/or water and is designed as a rotational container. The container is arranged downstream in form of a rage pipe or a rotation reservoir in gravitational force direction such that gravity water swirl arises in the container with the condensate or water. A water swirl turbine is arranged within the container or in an outlet of the container and converts rotation energy of the condensate/water into electrical power. An independent claim is also included for a method for cooling of condensate or cooling water of a steam turbine process using a cooling device.
