PURPOSE: A candle typed ballast water filtering apparatus is provided to prevent back pressure in a back pressure preventing tank for equal back washing. CONSTITUTION: A candle typed ballast water filtering apparatus comprises a housing, a filtering part and an automatic washing part. The filtering part comprises more than one filter element which is capable of washing and filtering. A sucking part rotates against a driving shaft by a driving part and comprises a flushing arm which is connected to the filtering part and each filter element. The driving part comprises a secret part to prevent the housing from being leaked along with the driving shaft.
