An inductive device for modifying the linearity of sawtooth deflection currents comprises a coil 1 on a ferrite rod core 2 which is partially saturated by two permanent magnets 3, 4 located one at each end. The assembly is held together and mounted on a base-plate by means of a support 5 having spring fingers 8, 9 to press the core against the magnets. The device is used with a line-scanning transformer in a television receiver, wherein the transformer deflection winding (12, Fig. 2, not shown) is tapped (15) and connected through the inductance to the CRT deflection coils, the inductance and transformer winding (12) being mounted on a base-plate (10) and encapsulated. |
