<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece and provide a portable equipment, in which a countermeasure for a wrong insertion of a flat battery can be made certainly without increasing a cost or upsizing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The timepiece is provided with a circuit board 2 having a power source of a battery 4 having a plus pole 41 composing one flat surface portion 411 and a side surface portion 412 of a flat battery and a minus pole 42 composing the other flat surface portion, and a battery housing portion 5 in which the battery 4 is housed. The circuit board 2 operates at a power source voltage in which a standard potential is set at a minus pole side, and the battery housing portion 5 is provided with a housing main body 51 having an open port 501 which is formed at a position at least including a portion on the opposite side of the circuit board 2, a plus connecting terminal 51 at least a part of which is provided in an inner circumferential portion of the open port 501 and is conducted with the circuit board 2, and a minus connecting fixed terminal 52 which is provided on the opposite side of the circuit board 2 in the open port 501 and which press-fixes the battery 4 on the circuit board 2 and is conducted with the circuit board 2.
