A bag of flexible plastics material, e.g. polyethylene, which may be opened and closed repeatedly, comprises a flap 14 of plastics material extending from one wall 10 of the bag at the open end and foldable over said open end and on to the outside surface of the opposite wall 12, the inside surface of the flap and/or the outside surface of the opposite wall being provided with a liquid film coating 16 having a vapour pressure between 0.01 and 10 mm. Hg. and a viscosity between 100 and 250 centipoises at 25‹ C. to provide a non-permanent adhesion between the contacting surfaces. The liquid film coating 16 may comprise a cling agent such as glycerol mono-oleate and a liquefying extender such as propylene glycol. The flap 14 is integral with or attached to the wall 10.
