摘要 An in-plane LCD is provided to remove a disclination region by forming an in-plane electric field even at a pixel electrode connection part by a protrusion of a common line and a pixel electrode. A plurality of gate lines(212) and a plurality of data lines(215) are perpendicularly intersected each other on a first substrate to define unit pixels. A thin film transistor is formed at each intersection of the gate lines and the data lines. A common line(225) is parallel to the gate line and has a protrusion. A plurality of common electrodes(224) contact the common line, and overlap an end of the protrusion of the common line. A plurality of pixel electrodes(217) contact a drain electrode(215b) and are formed in parallel between the common electrodes. A liquid crystal layer is formed between the first substrate and a second substrate facing the second substrate.
