PURPOSE: A monitoring device of an electric steering device is provided to monitor abnormal operation of the sensors or connections of the main logic by improving monitoring logic judging coherence for an existing logical operation. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring device of an electric steering device comprises a main logic unit(102), a monitoring unit(103), a defect judgment unit(104), and a comparison unit(105). The main logic unit calculates a first steering torque by being inputted with a sensing value outputted from a sensor unit(101). The monitoring unit calculates a second steering torque by being inputted with the sensing valve outputted from the sensor unit. The defect judgment unit compares the first steering torque and the second steering torque. The defect judgment unit judges whether the electric steering device is defected or not.
