<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a switching power supply device that can ensure a charging voltage prepared for instantaneous interruption of an AC voltage while reducing startup time; and an automatic teller machine. <P>SOLUTION: The switching power supply device includes a relay circuit RL1 that performs a switching operation in the following manner. That is, when the magnitude of a DC voltage outputted from a DC-DC converter circuit 36 is less than a predetermined magnitude, the relay circuit RL1 performs the switching operation to electrically discontinue a wiring 34A and capacitors C2 and C3 so that a voltage is not applied from the wiring 34A to the capacitors C2 and C3. When the magnitude of the DC voltage outputted from the DC-DC converter circuit 36 is equal to or more than the predetermined magnitude, the relay circuit RL1 performs the switching operation to electrically connect the wiring 34A and the capacitors C2 and C3 so that a voltage is applied from the wiring 34A to the capacitors C2 and C3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
