<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid storage battery which does not overheat in an engine hood even if subjected to vibration when it is mounted on a vehicle, and exhibits excellent on-vehicle safety. <P>SOLUTION: In a lead-acid storage battery where a positive polarity terminal and a negative polarity terminal project from the upper surface, a hard cover having a through hole into which the positive polarity terminal is fitted in a removable manner is fixed to the upper surface when the lead-acid storage battery is mounted on a vehicle. The hard cover is further provided with a holding piece and secured to the upper surface when the lead-acid storage battery is mounted on a vehicle, by holding at least one side of the upper surface with the holding piece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
