<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording and reproducing system for performing recording and reproduction at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disk recording and reproducing device, an optical disk is rotated along a rotation direction, a laser beam is focused on the optical disk, and a beam spot is formed on the optical disk. The laser beam is deflected along the radial direction of the optical disk by a scanner, draws a scan locus in a direction where the beam spot intersects with the rotation direction, and a data track having an array of recording bits is formed along the scan locus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
