<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce paper feeding mistakes when loading either a sheet or an envelope on a paper feeding tray. <P>SOLUTION: This paper feeder 10 loads the envelope F by setting a bottom portion Ft side of the envelope F to a downstream side of a paper feeding direction when feeding the envelope F. The paper feed device 10 includes: a first movable plate 31 which is movably provided on an upstream side of the paper feeding direction of the paper feeding tray 11, is stored at substantially the same height as an upper surface 11a of the paper feeding tray 11 when loading the paper P and is inclined upward as compared with the upper surface 11a of the paper feeding tray 11 so that a flap portion Ff side of the envelope F is lifted and supported when loading the envelope F; and a second movable plate 41 which is movably provided on a downstream side of the paper feeding direction of the paper feeding tray 11, is locked at substantially the same height as the upper surface 11a of the paper feeding tray 11 when loading the paper P and is inclined downward as compared with the upper surface 11a of the paper feeding tray 11 so that the bottom portion Ft side of the envelope F is lowered and is supported when loading the envelope F. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
