<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of cutting work by automatically opening an opening/closing cover when a target member is cut to reduce a burden on a user. <P>SOLUTION: Closer to the introduction side of wood W than the saw blade 13 of a housing 11, there is provided a movable member 21 that is protruded to the other side of a base 16 in the noncontact state of the wood W and moved to one side of the base 16 by contacting with wood W. Between an opening/closing cover 18 and the movable member 21, there is provided a string-shaped member 23 for rotating the opening/closing cover 18 in an opening direction by moving the movable member 21. The movable member 21 is moved by contacting with the wood W, and through the string-shaped member 23, the opening/closing cover 18 is rotated in the opening direction. Thus, the opening/closing cover 18 is automatically rotated in the opening direction by contacting with the wood W irrespective of a user's operation, and the efficiency of cutting work is improved while reducing the burden on the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
