PURPOSE: A composition for delivering a metal nanoparticle-based nucleic acid and a method for preparing the same are provided to ensure intracellular delivery efficiency and stability in vivo. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a composition for delivering a nucleic acid comprises: a step of reacting a metal nanoparticle and a positive charge introducing material and introducing positive charge on the surface of the metal nanoparticle; a step of coating the surface with the nucleic acid and forming a metal nanoparticle/nucleic acid complex; a step of coating the complex with a cationic polymer and forming a metal nanoparticle/nucleic acid/cationic polymer complex; and a step of coating the complex with an anionic polymer.
