PURPOSE: A power generation system for ships is provided to reduce costs for fuel, to depurate exhaust through a secondary combustor, to simplify system development and maintenance by compacting a system through an integrated system of a main engine and a generator. CONSTITUTION: A power generation system for ships comprises a main engine(10), a supercharger(20), a generator(30), and a secondary combustor(40). The supercharger comprises a turbine(21) and a compressor(22) for supercharging combustion gas to the main engine. The generator is connected to the compressor of the supercharger. The secondary combustor supplies the combustion gas to the supercharger.
