<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a body part of a position detection mechanism in the state of being surely locked to a housing of an actuator, and to prevent loosening to a nut of a screw shaft part. <P>SOLUTION: A position detector for an actuator includes a position detection mechanism 11 and a first fixing mechanism 12. The first fixing mechanism 12 includes a screw shaft part 15 integrated with a body part 13, a positioning nut 16 and a fixing nut 17 screwed to the screw shaft part 15, and a regulation member 18 for regulating rotation of the positioning nut 16 and the fixing nut 17. The positioning nut 16 positions the screw shaft part 15 to a housing 103. The fixing nut 17 fixes the screw shaft part 15 to the housing 103. Shaft centers of the screw shaft part 15 and the body part 13 are eccentrically provided.
