<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pan having superior gas-liquid separation function of oil mist. <P>SOLUTION: An oil pan 3 includes a body 14 and a baffle plate 15, and a strainer cut-off port 17 is formed at one corner of the baffle plate 15. A surrounding wall 26 is formed around the surroundings except within the strainer cut-off port 17, and upward projected flanges 26a-26e formed in the surrounding wall 26 are welded to the body 14. Many land parts 35 are formed in the baffle plate 15 by grooves 33, 34 and the surrounding wall 26, and oil pitfalls 38 and 39 are bored in sites opposite to the strainer cut-off port 17 across the central line 20 in these many land parts 35. Oil mist attached to the baffle plate 15 reaches to the oil pitfalls 38 and 39 after traversing a long distance, and thereby achieves a high gas-liquid separation function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
