<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibacterial glass having strength and visibility which are utilizable as cover glass for a touch panel display. <P>SOLUTION: There is disclosed antibacterial glass having an antibacterial material in a surface layer, the antibacterial glass has in the surface layer, a silver ion diffusion layer within the depth of 30 μm from the glass surface, and a compression layer having the thickness of ≥15 μm in the depth direction from the glass surface, wherein the surface compression stress is ≥480 MPa, and, in the surface layer, the ratio (Ag/K) between the X-ray intensity (K) of potassium and the X-ray intensity (Ag) of silver measured by X-ray fluorescence analysis is 0.0005-0.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
