<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen processing device capable of swiftly performing processing to a specimen when a cleaning liquid container follows a specimen container. <P>SOLUTION: A specimen analyzer 1 comprises: measurement units 31 and 32 for performing processing by sucking a specimen stored in a specimen container T; a conveyance unit 2 for sequentially supplying containers to the measurement units 31 and 32; a bar-code unit for sequentially identifying the type of a container; and a CPU for controlling the conveyance unit 2 and the measurement units 31 and 32 to supply a cleaning liquid container C to the measurement units 31 and 32 and automatically perform cleaning when the cleaning liquid container T is identified. The CPU suspends cleaning with the cleaning liquid container C when the specimen container T is identified during a time from identification of the cleaning liquid container C to execution of cleaning.
