<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular side airbag in which high airtightness can be ensured, the structure of which is simplified, which can be manufactured efficiently and easily and in which mass productivity is improved. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicular side airbag, a pair of side panels 5 are provided at both sides of a width direction panel 4 which can be expanded in a vehicle width direction, and an airbag space S having predetermined thickness in the vehicle width direction is formed from the width direction panel when the airbag is deployed and expanded. A baffle piece 7 is provided on a panel inside surface 6, facing the airbag space, of the side panels and the width direction panel and a baffle 8 vertically dividing the airbag space is formed by joining upper end edges 2a of the baffle piece such that the side panels face each other. Both end edges 4b, 4d of the width direction panel, the upward end edge 5a and lower end edge 5c of the side panel confronted therewith are joined to each other, and outer peripheral end edges 5b of the side panels, which are confronted with each other, are joined to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
