<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device which can be used instead of a mouse in a personal computer operation for immediately taking notes from a personal computer operation state. <P>SOLUTION: An input device includes: a square frame-shaped optical waveguide W installed in a square frame-shaped holding plate 7, and formed with a square-shaped hollow part S for input; a light emitting element 5 connected to the rear end of a core 2a for light emission of the optical waveguide W; a light receiving element 6 connected to the rear end of a core 2b for light incidence of the optical waveguide W; and an input body configured to move in the hollow part S for input. The positional information of a light shielding position provided by the top end input part of the input body is output to a personal computer. The input device also includes: a changeover switch T for determining whether to recognize the positional information as the positional information of a pointer to be displayed at the display of the personal computer or input information based on a moving locus of the top end input part of the input body; and right and left push buttons R and L corresponding to right and left click buttons installed in the mouse for personal computer operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
