<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock type mechanical pencil which retains and feeds out leads of various diameters and also allows the leads to be surely inserted into a feeding chuck 4 one by one even when thin leads are used. <P>SOLUTION: The leading end of the tip member 14 is tipped with the leading chuck 1 biased backwards in the longitudinal direction by the front spring 12. The feeding chuck 4, having a tightening member 5 externally fit on its head portion 4A and being biased backwards in the longitudinal direction by the chuck spring 8, is positioned behind the leading chuck 1. Furthermore, a following member 10, whose inner diameter is adjustable according to the lead to be used, is provided behind the feeding chuck 4. A lead tank 18, which stores spare leads, is provided behind the following member 10 so that the leads in the lead tank 18 can be led into the feeding chuck 4 one by one through the inner hole of the following member 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
