PURPOSE: A display device and a control method of the display device are provided to additionally secure a memory area when an application is executed, thereby securing an enough storage space during runtime. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(130) stores a code command for use change of a memory area. The storage unit includes a first memory area for broadcast signal processing of a signal processing unit(110) and a second memory area for application execution. When an application execution unit(120) executes one or more applications, a control unit(140) changes the first memory area based on the code command into an area for the application execution.
