<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutralization device which, even when a wide space cannot be secured around the location of the neutralization device, piping attachment work can be carried out easily without changing the substantial capacity of the neutralizing device, and to provide a combustion apparatus equipped with such a neutralization device. <P>SOLUTION: In an upper part of the neutralization device 15, a drain water introduction unit 61 is formed, to which a piping leading to an external member can be attached. The drain water introduction unit 61 has a tubular insertion portion 73 and a slot 74.
