TERMINAL POSITION ESTIMATION SYSTEM AND TERMINAL POSITION ESTIMATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal position estimation system and terminal position estimation method capable of estimating a terminal position of a mobile terminal, on the basis of round trip delay time between a base station and the mobile terminal and reference signal received power from an adjacent base station.

SOLUTION: A terminal position estimation system comprises: a mobile terminal for performing radio communication with a base station and an adjacent base station; and a monitoring device for monitoring the radio communication between the mobile terminal and the base station or the adjacent base station. The monitoring device: acquires round trip delay time between the mobile terminal and the base station; calculates a distance between the mobile terminal and the base station on the basis of the acquired delay time; acquires reference signal received power between the mobile terminal and the adjacent base station; calculates a distance between the mobile terminal and the adjacent base station on the basis of the acquired reference signal received power and a predetermined first theoretical propagation formula; and estimates a terminal position of the mobile terminal on the basis of the calculated distance between the mobile terminal and the base station and the calculated distance between the mobile terminal and the adjacent base station.
