<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimal operation mode. <P>SOLUTION: The radio communication device comprises a packet size estimation part, a reception quality measurement part, a code block number estimation part, and an operation mode selection control part. The packet size estimation part estimates a packet size of the packet transmitted from a transmission side to the device itself. The reception quality measurement part performs a reception quality measurement of a reception signal to acquire a reception quality measurement value. The code block number estimation part estimates the number of code blocks contained in one packet from the packet size and a size of the code block for each operation mode. The operation mode selection control part recognizes required quality for each operation mode from the estimated code block number, and then selects the operation mode on the basis of a comparison result of the required quality and the reception quality measurement value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
