ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which, by restricting the degradation of a luminescent layer interface, exhibits excellent long-term drive stability.

SOLUTION: In an organic electroluminescent element, a functional layer consisting of a plurality of layers including at least a luminescent layer and a charge transport layer is sandwiched between an anode and a cathode. The functional layer includes an inorganic compound intermediate layer which is laminated between and adjacent to the luminescent layer and the charge transport layer.
