<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having excellent display quality in which a disclination with a disordered orientation state does not affect display, and further to provide an electronic apparatus provided with the display device. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises: first pixel electrodes disposed in a display region; dummy pixel electrodes disposed in a non-display region; second pixel electrodes disposed between the first pixel electrodes and the dummy pixel electrodes; and light shielding members. The second pixel electrodes are increased in size and are caused to protrude to a non-display region side. By generating a disclination with a disordered orientation state due to lateral electric fields from the dummy pixel electrodes on the second pixel electrodes protruding to the non-display region side, overlapping, as viewed in a plan view, the disclination with the light shielding members formed in the non-display region and hiding the disclination by the light shielding members, there is provided the display device having excellent display quality in which the disclination does not affect display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
