<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a dimming range of a liquid crystal display, in particular a range on the lower limit side. <P>SOLUTION: A bit shift logic 60 is provided between a graphic accelerator 53 and an LCD 55. The bit shift logic 60 reduces brightness of drawing data (RGB signals) outputted to the LCD 55 from the graphic accelerator 53, by shifting bits to perform color conversion (density change), in particular conversion for increasing the density of color. Thus the brightness can be furthermore reduced even after a light amount of a backlight is reduced up to its lower limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
