<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator which has a metallic cover with high rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: The crystal oscillator includes: a metal base comprising a first metal (9) that at least two metal lead terminals penetrate through an insulator and a second metal (9F) arranged around the first metal and different from the first metal; metal supporters (50) arranged on inner sides of the metal lead terminals; a crystal diaphragm (2) arranged on the metal supporters; and a metal cover (10) made of a clad material having an inner-side second metal (203) and a third metal (202) different from an outer-side second metal.
