<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy in improvement diameter measurement. <P>SOLUTION: An improvement diameter measurement device includes a detection device 10 which has a switch body 12b and a distal end part 12a capable of approaching and separating from the switch body 12b, detects a prescribed position pressurized by the distal end part 12a being abutted to an unimproved soil of a boundary surface, and is fixed to a distal end of an extendable measurement body 6 in a long-length rod shape curved in a cross-sectional view.
