<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel driving device which enables displacement of a wheel to be absorbed without reaching the inside of a motor driving unit, when the wheel is displaced due to abrasion of a hub bearing. <P>SOLUTION: Running of a motor 13 reaches a wheel hub 5 (wheel 1) via an output shaft 14. The motor driving unit 11 is configured by supporting both ends of an output shaft 14 in a unit case 12 by bearings 15 and 16, and the protruding end 14a of the output shaft 14 is rigidly connected to the wheel hub 5. The motor driving unit 11 is attached to a wheel supporting member 2 by an elastic annular body 21 which is elongated radially outward from a central part of an inner end of the unit case 12 and which reaches an opening 2b at an inner end of the wheel supporting member 2. When the wheel hub 5 (wheel 1) is displaced by backlash of the hub bearing 4, the elastic annular body 21 is elastically deformed via the motor driving unit 11 (the output shaft 14 and the unit case 12) in such a manner as to interlock with the displacement of the wheel hub. Thus, since the displacement of the wheel hub 5 (wheel 1) does not reach the inside of the motor driving unit 11, a malfunction, in which a rotor 13r of the motor 13 interferes with a stator 13s, can be avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
