<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing boron-containing stainless steel, by which boron is efficiently yielded in the steel when producing the boron-containing stainless steel. <P>SOLUTION: A raw material containing iron, chromium, and nickel is molten in an electric furnace, and the molten steel obtained is subjected to decarburization refining by AOD and/or VOD. Then, reduction of Cr is performed by performing deacidification using Al or Al and a ferrosilicon alloy. Then, Al is added along with quicklime and fluorite so that the Al content is 0.005-0.2 mass%. Then, 0.05-2.50 mass% of a boron source is added, producing the boron-containing stainless steel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
