<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit (1) capable of reducing friction inside a mechanical reduction gear (19) and increasing the flexibility of disposition of gear shafts (63) and (14) of a mechanical reduction gear (19), wherein the power unit (1) includes a drive wheel (15) rotatably supported in the rear of a V-belt automatic gear (18) and the mechanical reduction gear (19) provided between the rear of the V-belt automatic gear (18) and the drive wheel (15) and decelerating rotations of a driven shaft (52) of the V-belt automatic gear (18) to transmit it to the drive wheel (15). <P>SOLUTION: The power unit (1) includes a lubrication oil pump (67) provided on the lowermost part inside a gear case (60) housing the mechanical reduction gear (19) and for supplying oil housed inside to meshing part (82) of gears of the mechanical reduction gear (19).
