<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator of a host OS to grasp approximate time required before requested removal of a storage device from a virtual computer is completed, in a virtual computer system. <P>SOLUTION: A removal control part 100 is installed within a channel control part which performs control between a virtual computer and a storage device in a virtual computer system. In the removal control part 100, a reception part 111 receives a removal request of the storage device from the virtual computer, from a host OS. At this time, a determination part 112 determines whether or not the removal should be executed after waiting for completion of input/output processing being executed, on the basis of issuance states of a reserve command and a release command. When it is determined that the completion of the input/output processing should be waited, an estimation part 131 estimates time required before the input/output processing being executed is completed, on the basis of execution time of past input/output processing between the target virtual computer and the storage device.
