<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable eliminating the need of an end plate in a rotor of a rotary electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 30 of a rotary electric machine 10 comprises: a rotor shaft 32; a rotor core 34 in which a plurality of magnetic steel sheets 35 are laminated; a permanent magnet 36 which is embedded in the rotor core 34; both side end-plates 40 which are arranged on both sides in an axial direction of the rotor core 34; and a caulking ring 50 which fixes both side end-plates 40 to the rotor shaft 32. Both side end-plates 40 are respectively arranged in a lamination direction of the rotor core 34, namely, on both sides in the axial direction. Both side end-plates 40 comprises: a body part 42 which is a thin sheet made of the same material as the magnetic steel sheet 35; a thin sheet 44 which is made of a material having the coefficient of thermal expansion different from the coefficient of thermal expansion of the magnetic steel sheet 35, on a surface of the body part 42 which is outside in the axial direction when both side end-plates 40 are arranged on the rotor core 34. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the thin sheet 44 is set to be larger than that of the magnetic steel sheet 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
