<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of outputting only charge that has been required for exchanging image data with a permitted communication destination. <P>SOLUTION: When a user inputs the registration of a facsimile number as the number for business to a multi function peripheral (MFP) 100, the MFP 100 transmits an E-mail including approval request information to a mail exchange device of an approver. When the text of a received approval result mail from the mail exchange device of the approver indicates approval, the facsimile number is registered as the number for business. When the text of the received approval result mail indicates disapproval, the facsimile number is registered as the number for private use.
