REAR SIDE APPROACH WARNING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear side approach warning device that can directly warn a pedestrian by making a driver understand that he or she is not notified of the presence of a small object (e.g., a pedestrian) in the rear side of his or her own vehicle.

SOLUTION: The rear side approach warning device comprises: an object detection part that detects the presence of an object in the rear side of an own vehicle; a presence determination part that determines whether an object is detected within a specified range near the own vehicle within a detection range where the object detection part can detect the presence of the object; and a notification control part that does not perform notification when the presence determination part determines that the object is detected within the specified range.
