<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work system for a board, of high practicability. <P>SOLUTION: In the work system for a board, a circuit board is transported from a work machine arranged on an upper stream side to that arranged on a lower stream side, among a plurality of work machines being arranged, and work is performed sequentially on the circuit board. When one of the plurality of work machines stops, a work stop estimation time T<SB POS="POST">S</SB>which is a down time of the one work machine is estimated (S2) based on a work stop time stored in a control device. If the work stop estimation time exceeds a first threshold time A, transportation of the circuit board is stopped (S4) at the upper stream side work machines that are all on the upper stream side than the stopped work machine, among the plurality of work machines. If the work stop estimation time exceeds a second threshold time (B-(T<SB POS="POST">K</SB>+T<SB POS="POST">N1</SB>+T<SB POS="POST">N2</SB>)), transportation of the circuit board at the upper stream side work machine is stopped, and work with the upper stream work machine is stopped (S6).
