<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stowage bin coping with an increase in luggage size. <P>SOLUTION: A stowage bin 100 includes a support assembly 108, a bucket 106 including a pivot point 116 and rotatable about the pivot point between a closed position 102 and an open position, and a translating mechanism coupling the bucket to the support assembly such that when the bucket is rotated between the closed and open positions, the pivot point translates with respect to the support assembly between a first pivot position 120 and a second pivot position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
