<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the curvature of a linear light source device. <P>SOLUTION: A linear light source device 1 comprises: a wiring board 10 of a slender rectangular shape; a light-emitting element 11 linearly arranged on the wiring board 10; a reflector 12 arranged on the wiring board 10 per light-emitting element; a sealing resin 13 for sealing the light-emitting element 11; and a heat sink 14 arranged on a rear surface 10a of the wiring board 10. The rear surface 10a of the wiring board 10 is provided with a plurality of grooves 17. The groove 17 is linearly formed in a short direction of the wiring board 10. The groove 17 is located at a position facing the position between light-emitting elements 11 and symmetrically provided with respect to the center of the wiring board 10.
