<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a room temperature shrinkable tube from buckling. <P>SOLUTION: In a diameter expansion member 10 for expanding a diameter of a room temperature shrinkable tube 80 installed to coat a connection 91 of a power cable 90 and for inserting a diameter expansion retaining cylinder 70 to a center hole 81 of the room temperature shrinkable tube, a small diameter part 20 to be installed to the center hole of the room temperature shrinkable tube before diameter expansion and a large diameter part 30 retaining the diameter expansion retaining cylinder are provided. Between the small diameter part and large diameter part, a plurality of small and large taper parts 41 and 42 having conical surfaces are formed in a gradual way.
