<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device capable of effectively utilizing even a catalyst on a downstream side. <P>SOLUTION: Modified gas flowing through a modification passage 32 is modified to fuel gas by contact to a catalyst 39. At that time, a reformer 20 is heated by combustion heat of a combustion part 18. In the modification passage 32, only a second meandering passage 38 arranged on an outermost side extends along a side wall of the reformer 20. Accordingly, combustion heat is transmitted to the modified gas in the second meandering passage 38 from a side wall. It is difficult to transmit the combustion heat to an upstream passage 34 not contacting the side wall of the reformer 20. As a result, the modified gas can be heated in the second meandering passage 38 more efficiently than the upstream passage 34. Even when the catalyst in the meandering passage 38 is used for modifying the modified gas, the modified gas can be sufficiently heated in the second meandering passage 38. A heating characteristic can be improved in the second meandering passage 38. Thus, even the catalyst on the downstream side can be effectively utilized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
