<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and system capable of urging a user who has signed a usage-based maintenance contract to use an image forming agent save mode. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus, which includes an image forming means that forms images on recording media by using image forming agents on the basis of image information, selects either of a normal image forming mode and the image forming agent save mode in which images are formed by consuming a small amount of image forming agents in comparison with image forming in the normal image forming mode, and forms images with the image forming means, has a save point calculating means that calculates image forming agent save points providing the user with prescribed privileges on the basis of the number of points, according to the execution history of the image forming agent save mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
