PURPOSE: A Compton camera and an image reconstitution method for restoration are provided to accurately compensate an error when an image is restored, thereby preventing degradation of spatial resolution of an elliptical cone image. CONSTITUTION: A projection unit calculates projection data by convolution of a reconstitution image and a resolution reconstruction modeling function. A reverse projection unit reversely projects an error between the projection data and measured projection data along a surface of an elliptical cone.
