<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image displaying apparatus for vehicle use that secures visibility when a vehicle is under emergency braking by restraining the display of an image that is superposed over a real scene. <P>SOLUTION: An image displaying apparatus for vehicle use is provided with control means for controlling superposed displaying of a real scene visible by the driver of a vehicle and an image representing information related to this real scene to be provided to the driver of the vehicle. The control means determines whether or not the vehicle is under emergency braking and, if the vehicle is under emergency braking, restrains the displaying of the image that is superposed over the real scene so as to improve the visibility of the real scene to the driver of the vehicle. In this restraining action, the control means eliminates the whole or part of the image to be superposed over the real scene, concentrates the image to be superposed over the real scene to a limited part and displays the concentrated image, or makes fainter the hue of the image to be superposed over the real scene. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
